Welcome to Bike Base North York Moors.
Bike Base is a friendly, family run business offering cycle hire, café and holiday accommodation. We are situated close to Captain Cook’s Monument with spectacular views of Roseberry Topping on the northern edge of the North York Moors National Park
Bike hire is offered by delivery to tourist accommodation in the local area or by prior booking from our base at Gribdale near Great Ayton.
We also offer e-bike hire to groups such as scouts, guides, schools and other clubs. Our on-site café serves delicious food and hot and cold drinks in a stunning environment.
On site parking is limited so we encourage visitors to enjoy the fitness and health benefits of walking or cycling to us. Additional parking can be found at Gribdale Gate & Newton under Roseberry
We are able to provide advice and guidance relating to routes. Longer hire periods are available subject to agreement and availability.

KEY INFORMATION
Collection/Return times
All bookings must be made online.
2 forms ID, one photo ID, one utility bill (digital on phone is OK) are required at the start of the hire and will be retained until the bike is returned.
Age 16+
A £250 debit/credit card security deposit is required for each bike hired.
Helmets and Hi-Viz vests are provided within the hire charge
Puncture repair foam is provided and charged at cost price if used.
Mountain Bike tuition to suit all ages and abilities is available when booked in advance, please contact us for further details.
